Philippa Williams
Dressage Rider
Reg'd BHSAI
What is Dressage?
Dressage is an Olympic sport,
often referred to as ballet of the horse
because of its beauty and elegance. Dressage
represents the highest level of training
a horse can achieve. The movements are
based on those a horse performs while running
free and interacting with herd mates. To
train the horse to move like this with
a rider on top requires a high level of
precision, obedience and concentration
from both horse and rider.
A Little About Me
I have a great passion and understanding
of horses, which has led me to many successful
jobs as a rider and manager. During this
time I have produced many young horses
to competition level and I continue to
have a good bank of clients that I train
as a Registered BHSAI instructor. Currently
I have my own base at
Peakirk in Peterborough where I run a competition
livery yard. I am an
outgoing, fun person who strives for success!
Goals
My short term aims are to
have a larger selection of horses to train
and compete from my own base/yard and to
establish a secure reputation on the dressage
circuit.
My long term goal is to ride
to Grand Prix level (internationally) and
to ride for Britain in the 2012 Olympics.
